The Writings I (DCBS Module 6)

This module consists of the following books of the Bible – Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs.

 

Psalms

Instructor:  Revd David Lee

Revd David Lee is married to Veronica and they have two daughters, Alethea  and Clara.

He is currently the Vicar of Chapel of the Resurrection with the associated responsibilities as Chaplain to St Andrew’s Junior College and President of Good News Community Services.

Revd Lee is also the Area Group Leader of St Andrew’s Village churches and the Chairman of Education Board.

 

Proverbs

Instructor:  Deaconess Grace Tan

Grace Tan was a teacher by profession. She responded to God’s call in 1990 and retired in 2022 after more than 30 years in full-time ministry.

She is a keen student of the Bible and passionate about doing and teaching the Word of God (Ezra 7:10) so that the Body of Christ is rooted in truth and righteousness.

Grace had her theological training at Trinity Theological College, Singapore [Master of Divinity & Master of Theology(Old Testament)] and at the University of Oxford [Master of Studies (Hebrew Studies)].

 

Job

Instructor:  Dr Lee Chien Earn

Chien Earn worships at St John’s-St Margaret’s Church and serves as an instructor in its Know the Word series.

He has a Masters of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary.

He considers it a privilege and joy to able to study and share the timely and timeless message of the Bible so as to know Christ and to make Him known.

 

Ecclesiastes

Instructor:  Revd Hambali Leonardi

Revd Hambali is currently serving as Priest in St James Church. He had his theological training at Trinity Theological College, Singapore (MDiv).

He enjoys teaching God’s Word and has taught various bible books in the DCBS programme.

He desires to equip and prepare the Church for the second Advent.

 

Song of Songs

Instructor:  Revd Steven Seah

Revd Steven is the Dean of Cambodia where he continues to undertake some teaching on top of his oversight duties.

He has previously taught Ezra-Nehemiah, Isaiah, the Minor Prophets and the Pauline Epistles for DCBS. He likes to teach whatever he can because he learns so himself in the process.
