DCBS Module 9 – The Acts of the Apostles

Instructor:  Mr Stanley Tay

Before answering God’s call to full-time pastoral ministry, Stanley Tay spent 14 years in the petrochemical industry. He joined the pastoral staff team at St John’s–St Margaret’s Church (SJSM) in 2005 after obtaining a Master in Christian Studies (Spiritual Theology) from Regent College, Canada. He left the team in early 2021 to pursue a Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary, with a focus on Spiritual Direction & Formation. He is currently working on his thesis on contemplative spirituality, with plans to complete it by mid-2026.

Stanley is passionate about the Word of God and journeying alongside others in their spiritual formation. He preaches and teaches in various churches, and has taught in the Diocesan Certificate of Biblical Studies (DCBS) programme since 2018. He is presently an adjunct lecturer in the School of Counselling at Singapore Bible College. In addition, he provides spiritual direction, facilitates contemplative retreats, and leads spiritual pilgrimages to the Holy Land and the UK.
