Apologetics for the Heart

‘Apologetics’ is not just about intellectual battles, it is seeking to connect with both the mind and the heart. This workshop will look at how to discern the question behind the question people articulate, and how culture and worldview play a large part in what they ask.

We will look at some of the most commonly asked questions about the Christian faith and how to tackle them in a generous-hearted way, seeking to introduce Jesus Christ as the answer, rather than being harsh or defensive.

Instructor:  Peter Teagle

Peter Teagle is a university evangelist and Bible teacher with 25 years’ experience ministering to international students. Formerly an atheist, he combines his science background, cross-cultural work in China, and theological training in Singapore and Oxford. He focuses on sharing the Gospel across cultures and authored “Is Christianity a Western Religion?” in 2020. Based in Bath, UK, he also serves in church leadership and is married to Singaporean Dr Lynette Lim.
