This module covers the following books of the Bible – Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.

Instructor:  Deaconess Grace Tan

Deaconess Grace Tan was a teacher by profession and responded to God’s call to enter full-time ministry in 1990. She retired recently in 2022 from full-time pastoral ministry. But her passion remains – to teach the Word of God, that God may be known and loved, and His word established well in people’s lives. Grace had her theological training at Trinity Theological College, Singapore [MDiv & MTh(OT)] and at the University of Oxford [MSt (Hebrew Studies)].  

Micah

Instructor:  Revd Edwin Tan

Revd Edwin Tan is currently serving as the Vicar of St Andrew’s City Church and Associate Vicar of St Peter’s Church. His passion is to shepherd the parishioners and others on this slow but exciting journey of spiritual transformation.  

Joel

Instructor:  Deaconess Ti Lian Swan

Ds Lian Swan is the Assistant Pastor of St Andrew’s Cathedral’s 11:30am Service.  She also heads the Pastoral Care and the Prayer & Intercession Departments. She received her theological education in Trinity Theological College, Singapore (MDiv). Her heart is in discipling new believers, helping them lay a strong faith foundation for their spiritual growth.  

Obadiah, Jonah, Nahum, Habakkuk and Zephaniah

Instructor:  Ms Vivien Chen

Vivien discovered her love for God when she found out He was real, and that He has written a book about His acts and intervention in human history. She has gone through DCBS, previously known as Diocesan Lay Training and now helps to administer and teach occasionally in DCBS. She is a lay reader and worships at St Andrew’s Cathedral. She is retired from a career in the financial world. Her two children are now married, and she has two grandchildren.  

Zechariah

Instructor:  Revd Hambali Leonardi

Revd Hambali is currently serving as Priest in St James Church. He had his theological training at Trinity Theological College, Singapore (MDiv). He enjoys teaching God’s Word and has taught various bible books in the DCBS programme. He desires to equip and prepare the Church for the second Advent.
