ISTC 2024 Plenary 2 – A Renewed Vision of God

Our second plenary session will embark on a thematic exploration of the attributes of God, designed to deepen our understanding and awe of His nature. On the first day, our globally renowned speaker (see below for profile) will focus on “G”—unveiling the God of Grace, Generosity, Goodness, Greatness, and Gloriousness. The second day will be dedicated to “O”—reflecting on God’s Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnisapience, and how these attributes reassure and guide us in our ministry and daily lives. The final session will contemplate “D”—Delighting in the Delightful nature of God and Discovering how our joy in Him can transform our spiritual journey. These sessions aim to renew and elevate our vision of God, inspiring us to live and serve with greater devotion and understanding.

Revd Dr Tan Siang-Yang is a distinguished theologian and pastor, renowned for his profound insights into human psychology and how it interfaces with the Christian faith. He served concurrently as Professor of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, and Senior Pastor at First Evangelical Church (Glendale) in California. A highly sought-after conference speaker in the US and around the world, Revd Dr Tan has a special place in his heart for Singapore, where he spent his growing-up years. He is uniquely able to marry the insights of the social sciences with theology, as well as Western and Asian perspectives.
