Bishop Titus Chung (Bishop of Singapore and Advisor of SPH)

The Rt Revd Dr Titus Chung graduated from Trinity Theological College in 1995 and was ordained in the Diocese of Singapore in 1997. He served in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit and was later appointed as Vicar, where he also held the position of Chaplain to St Andrew’s Secondary School. 

In 2008, he obtained his PhD from the University of Edinburgh and returned to serve as Priest-in-Charge of St Andrew’s Cathedral Mandarin Congregation. In 2020, he was appointed as the tenth Bishop of Singapore and continues to serve as an adjunct lecturer at Trinity Theological College.

WARDEN 

Revd Dr Joshua Sudharman (Warden of SPH and Warden of Diocesan Training)

The Revd Dr Joshua Sudharman was ordained in the Diocese of Singapore in 1999. While serving in ministry he undertook a part-time Master of Divinity and graduated from Trinity Theological College in 2008. And in 2020 he graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Duke Divinity School in Duke University.

A student of St Andrew’s from Primary 1 up to Junior College, he served as a physics teacher in St Andrew’s Junior College before being called by the Lord into full-time ministry. The two parishes he served in are Chapel of the Resurrection and St John’s – St Margaret’s Church, the latter as their Vicar for 9 years. He was appointed Warden of St Peter’s Hall and Warden of Diocesan Training from 1 July 2021.

ASSOCIATE WARDENS

Canon Huang Ao-You (Associate Warden & Vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd)

The Revd Canon Huang Ao-You obtained his MDiv and MTh from Trinity Theological College in 1993 and 2006 respectively.

He began serving full time as a Parish Worker with the Chinese Congregation of Chapel of Christ the Redeemer. Upon ordination in 1994, he had served in the Chinese Congregations of Church of the Ascension, Marine Parade Christian Centre, St James’ Church and Garden City Christian Community (Bilingual). Currently he is the Vicar of Church of the Good Shepherd and also appointed as Associate Warden of SPH.

Deaconess June Tan (Associate Warden & Auxiliary Deaconess of St Andrew’s Cathedral)

Deaconess June Tan became one of the first two local deaconesses in the Diocese of Singapore in Nov 1990. Prior to this, deaconesses were expatriates. She was in the pioneer batch to receive the Diploma of Ministry from the Dioceses of Sabah and Singapore in Dec 1990.

Upon graduation from the then University of Singapore, she joined The Straits Times as a journalist in June 1977. She then became a Parish Worker in the Diocese in Dec 1986. Presently Ds June pastors the 7.30am and 4.30pm Services of St Andrew’s Cathedral and also serves in the cells ministry. She became the first female Associate Warden of St Peter’s Hall in Sept 2021.

ST PETER’S HALL HONORARY FELLOWS

Bp Rennis Ponniah (Retired Diocesan Bishop and Honorary Fellow of SPH)

The Rt Revd Rennis S Ponniah graduated from Trinity Theological College in the year 2000, having also studied earlier at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS, Chicago) and Regent College (Vancouver). He grew up as a lay leader in Christ Church and All Saints’ Church, while working in Social Research at Housing & Development Board. He was ordained in the Diocese of Singapore in 1990.

After ordination, he served as the Vicar of St John’s – St Margaret’s Church for almost 20 years. In 2012 he was appointed as the 9th Bishop of Singapore and retired from office in 2020. He continues to minister in the Diocese as Honorary Fellow of SPH, trainer for pastoral leaders in the Mission Deaneries, and Honorary Director of the Executive Secretariat of the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSFA).

Bp Kuan Kim Seng (Retired Asst Bishop and Honorary Fellow of SPH)

The Right Revd Kuan Kim Seng is a retired Assistant Bishop of the Diocese. He came to faith in Christ as a teenager and served in the Singapore Armed Forces before responding to God’s call into pastoral ministry. He was trained in Trinity Theological College, and had served in several parishes after ordination, including as Dean of St Andrew’s Cathedral as well as the Director of Missions for the Diocese.

Since his retirement from the Diocese, he has been serving as the Commissary Bishop of the Horn of Africa, a region under the episcopal oversight of the Province of Alexandria. This ministry is anchored in Ethiopia. His primary responsibility is the training and guiding of local Ethiopian clergy, including preparing some to assume episcopal leadership in the very near future.

SPH SCHOOLS – LEADERSHIP TEAM

Venerable Daniel Wee (Archdeacon of Singapore & School Leader in SPH)

The Venerable Daniel Wee was instituted as the Archdeacon of the Diocese of Singapore on 7 November 2021.  He graduated with a Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological College in 1995. His first role in our Diocese was as youth pastor at St John’s – St Margaret’s Church.

After his ordination in 2000, he was appointed the Vicar of Light of Christ Church Woodlands, before becoming the Vicar of Church of Our Saviour in 2010.  He has also served as the chairman of Diocese Youth Board.  He is married with 1 daughter.

Revd Jonathan Wong (Priest-in-charge, Church of the Good Shepherd (English), Dean of Vietnam, School Leader in SPH)

The Revd Jonathan Wong was ordained in the Diocese of Singapore in 1998. He served as the founding vicar of Light of Christ City Church (which is now Light of Christ Church Woodlands) and also as Associate Vicar at St Andrew’s Community Chapel. He currently is the priest that leads the English-speaking congregation of Church of the Good Shepherd, and concurrently holds the position of the Dean of Vietnam in the Diocese.

He graduated with a Master of Divinity from Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania in the USA in 2008, and is currently a Doctoral candidate (ABD) at Wycliffe College of the University of Toronto. He is married with 3 children.

Revd William Chee (Lay Training Coordinator and School Leader in SPH)

The Revd William Chee was trained as a Chartered Accountant in the UK. In 1992, he obtained his Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological College and subsequently his Master of Theology in the Old Testament in 1996.

He was ordained in the Diocese of Singapore in 2005 and has served in various parishes before being made a Vicar of Yishun Christian Church Anglican from 2014 to 2021. He is presently appointed as the Lay Training Coordinator for the Diocese.
